Meet The Team

My Approach: Healing is not exclusively a cognitive process; it is a deeply physical and emotional journey. I believe that trauma and chronic stress often leave a lasting imprint on the nervous system, manifesting as a sense of disconnect, anxiety, or feeling "stuck." My practice is rooted in the belief that by fostering an empathetic, neurodiversity-affirming space, we can work together to bridge the gap between the mind and the body. I integrate evidence-based clinical techniques with somatic awareness to help you move beyond traditional talk therapy and toward a more embodied sense of safety and self-expression. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are, providing a warm and non-judgmental environment where you feel seen and heard.
My Training: With a specialized focus on trauma recovery, I support individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes. My work is informed by Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mind-Body Somatic approaches. I am dedicated to helping clients understand their internal "parts"—the various ways we have learned to protect ourselves—and using that understanding to foster lasting self-compassion. I am currently expanding my clinical toolkit through advanced training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and Complex Trauma training with Janina Fisher. This allows me to offer a multifaceted approach that addresses both individual healing and healing in relationship with others and our community.
My Education: I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, where I was a BHWISE Fellow (Behavioral Health Workforce Integration Service and Education). My clinical foundation is complemented by a unique academic background -- I received masters degrees in International Relations and Terrorism and Political Violence from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
Before transitioning into clinical social work, I was an Americorps volunteer and served in a variety of policy roles, advocating for trauma survivors within legal and academic systems. This macro-level perspective informs my clinical work today, providing a deep understanding of the systemic challenges clients face. Additionally, my background as a pilates and ballet instructor informs my somatic lens, providing a long-standing appreciation for the power of movement and the body in the healing process.
