Kate Salmon

MA, NCC, LPC

Kate aims to provide a safe environment to foster a new way of living for clients who are feeling stuck.

She prioritizes creating a non-judgmental space and uses empathy, humor (when appropriate), and encouragement to help clients reach their goals. She enjoys working with clients seeking support for substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. For Christian clients who desire it, she also offers a faith-based approach. She believes that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important components of therapy and works to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can grow, heal, and explore meaningful change.

Kate has 10 years of experience treating those with anxiety, depression, addiction, other mood disorders.

Kate is a trained addictions counselor with experience working at Kolmac Outpatient Recovery Centers. She continues to provide individual and group therapy for adults struggling with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health concerns, and other life challenges. Kate is passionate about helping clients find hope, healing, and lasting change through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Kate welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and beliefs. As a Christian counselor, she is also available to thoughtfully integrate faith into the therapeutic process for clients who desire it through biblical principles, prayer, and Christian perspectives, while utilizing evidence-based counseling techniques.

Kate works with adults ages 18 and older and takes an eclectic, client-centered approach to therapy. She believes that each person is unique and tailors treatment to meet clients where they are. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other evidence-based modalities, she helps clients develop effective coping skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen relationships, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to thrive.
