Kimberly Baker
PCC, LPC-R, MFT-R
Kimberly L. Baker, PCC, LPC-R, MFT-R, is a provisionally licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist in Virginia and Washington, D.C., as well as a Professional Certified Coach. She brings over two decades of experience as an educator into her therapeutic and coaching work, offering a grounded, compassionate presence for individuals, couples, and families.
Kimberly earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, and supporting clients during major life transitions. She is committed to culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
Her therapeutic style is integrative and systemic, rooted in a person-centered philosophy. Kimberly draws from attachment theory, mindfulness-based practices, communication stances, trauma-informed modalities, and strengths-based interventions. She believes clients benefit most when therapy adapts to their unique needs, and she works collaboratively to help them explore patterns, build coping skills, and create sustainable pathways toward healing and growth.
